Screening for caries in Seattle Cosmetic dental office

Posted under: Cosmetic Dentistry, General Health— Aalam Samsavar @ 11:47 pm

Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) is a universal energy molecule found in all animal,  plants, bacterial, yeast, and mold cells. In a patient with low risk decay potential the number of bacteria living on the surface of the teeth are low. In our Seattle Cosmetic Dental Office we can determine if a patient is a high risk for getting cavities. Cariscreen device allows us to determine this. When ATP is brought into contact with the unique liquid stable luciferase/luciferin reagent within the cariscreen swab sampling device, light is emittted in direct proportion to the amount of ATP present. The cariscreen meter measures the amount of light generated and provides information as to the level of contamination within seconds. The readings appear as a number of RLUs (relative light units)

If a patient is a candidate for laminates, porcelain veneers, porcelain crowns or any other cosmetic dental procedures at our Seattle cosmetic dentistry office located in Bellevue serving kirkalnd, bellevue, redmond and vicinity we want to make sure the restorations last a long time. As a renowned Seattle cosmetic dentist Dr samsavar creates smile makeovers that look good, feel good and last a long time. The longevity of a cosmetic porcelain veneer depends on detemination of caries risk factor of the mouth.  This device allows us to make that determination so we can guarantee a cosmetic dental procedure that lasts a long time.
