Swine Flu
There are the news about Swine Flu everywhere these days. Other than the guidelines given by CDC, you should also remember that viruses and bacteria can survive on the moist surfaces of the toothbrush bristles for weeks. The organisms on the toothbrush ingect the toothpaste tube through contact during dispensing of the toothpaste. The spread of cold and flu viruses through a family can occur via toothbrush/tooth paste contamination. So each member of hte family should have their own tube of toothpaste just like having their own tooth brush. After an episode of cold or flu the tooth brush and toothpaste should be changed. So wash your hands often, cover your face when you sneeze or cough, stay home if you hve a cold and get rid of that toothbrush and toothpaste as soon as you are feeling a little better. At our Cosmetic Dental office your health and well being is most important for us.
