toothache during flying

Posted under: Dentistry— Aalam Samsavar @ 6:59 pm

Toothache occurs with a change in air pressure. It usually happens at altitudes of 2000 to 5000 feet and and is more likely with a rapid ascent. It also happens when diving to water depths of 33 to 86 feet. The pain generally disappears when one returns to the onset level or ground atmospheric level. But sometimes if the pain is due to an abscess the pain lingers. At the bellevue cosmetic dentistry we recommend regular dental check ups to look for defective fillings, abcesses around impacted wisdom teeth and abcesses around the roots of the teeth. It is a good idea not to fly for 24 to 72 hours after having any dental procedures done
