10-Day Orthodontics with Venetian Porcelain Veneers
If you've given up on the dream of having straighter teeth because of the time commitment involved with braces, ask us about 10-Day Orthodontics with Venetian Porcelain Dental Veneers - now available in greater Seattle at our cosmetic dentistry office!
The 10-Day Orthodontics procedure, with Venetian porcelain dental veneers, allows Seattle area cosmetic dentist Aalam Samsavar, D.D.S. to straighten and whiten your teeth within two weeks! Venetian porcelain veneers are made of a thin yet extremely strong and durable porcelain that is permanently bonded onto your existing teeth. Venetian porcelain dental veneers can be made in a variety of colors so they can make your smile permanently whiter without traditional bleaching methods. Because Venetian dental veneers have a consistency similar to existing teeth, they reflect light the same way real teeth do.
With our 10-Day Orthodontics procedure, your Venetian porcelain dental veneers are individually hand crafted by our master ceramist in Seattle to complement the shape of your face. Because Venetian dental veneers closely resemble real teeth and are sized and shaped like your own teeth, your improved smile looks completely natural.
Your 10-Day Orthodontics consultation begins at our Seattle area cosmetic dentistry office. During your consultation, Dr. Samsavar will mock-up your existing teeth with tooth colored material so you will be able to see the results of 10-Day Orthodontics with Venetian Porcelain Veneers before the actual procedure begins! (Read more about the Venetian porcelain veneers preview procedure.)
After your Venetian dental veneers are prepared, you'll return to our Bellevue office in greater Seattle for a fitting and then your dental veneers will be permanently bonded to your existing teeth. That's it! All you need to do after that is smile!

In-Office Teeth Whitening
Our Zoom!™ Teeth Whitening treatment, performed daily in our greater Seattle office, whitens teeth in less than two hours! If your teeth are stained and yellowed by soft drinks, coffee, tea, or tobacco, ask us about the Zoom!™ Teeth Whitening System.
The Zoom!™ Teeth Whitening procedure is ideal for our Seattle patients who want dramatically whiter teeth quickly and painlessly. In most cases, this teeth whitening method results in teeth that are six to 10 shades whiter in little more than an hour.
During an in-office Zoom!™ Teeth Whitening treatment at our Seattle area practice, you'll relax in our dental chair while Dr. Samsavar applies a special whitening gel to your teeth. A light made exclusively for the Zoom!™ Teeth Whitening procedure is focused on your teeth, which causes the teeth whitening gel to break down. As the gel breaks down, the whiteners penetrate your teeth, making stains and discolorations disappear! After the Zoom!™ Teeth Whitening procedure, Dr. Samsavar will apply a fluoride treatment to your teeth. And that's it! With Zoom!™ Teeth Whitening, you'll leave our greater Seattle practice with a dazzling new, whiter smile!
With proper maintenance and routine visits to our Bellevue dental office, the results of your Zoom!™ Teeth Whitening procedure will last a very long time!

Take Home Teeth Whitening
The take-home teeth whitening system used at our greater Seattle area cosmetic dentistry office safely whitens your teeth in the privacy of your own home! At home teeth whitening methods are gaining popularity and ease of use. Our at-home teeth whitening system is an inexpensive, easy way to safely whiten teeth yellowed and stained by coffee, tea, soft drinks, and tobacco.
If you choose our at home teeth whitening method, Dr. Samsavar will create customized whitening trays that fit your teeth precisely. This means that the teeth whitening gel touches only your teeth, not your gums, which greatly reduces the chance of developing gum irritation or sensitivity problems.
Depending on how stained your teeth are, you'll wear your teeth whitening trays for two to four weeks either for 30 minutes each day or while you sleep. During this time, Dr. Samsavar will periodically check your teeth whitening progress at his Seattle area practice.
When your at home teeth whitening procedure is complete, you'll have a whiter, more attractive smile!

Bondings / Tooth-Colored Fillings
Gone are the days when unattractive silver fillings were the only option for treating cavities. Tooth-colored fillings, available at our Bellevue office, are made from a composite resin that is designed to precisely match the color of your teeth. The resin material bonds easily to teeth and creates a stronger and more aesthetic filling than silver amalgam.
Tooth-colored fillings also require less tooth material to be removed prior to placement, preserving your tooth structure and allowing you to avoid heavy drilling. Once the tooth has been prepared, the filling will be placed in layers. Each layer is hardened with a special light to provide optimum durability. The process of placing a tooth-colored filling takes somewhat longer than placing a metal filling, but is well worth the wait. Once the filling is complete, it will be shaped and polished to provide a smooth and natural appearance.
The same material that is used to make composite fillings can also be used for dental bonding. At our practice serving Seattle and Bellevue, we can use dental bonding to repair small cracks and chips, fill gaps, lengthen small teeth, and even alter the appearance of crooked or misshapen teeth.

Porcelain / Composite Inlays
In cases of larger cavities where composite fillings may not be suitable, we also offer porcelain or composite inlays for our greater Seattle area patients. Like tooth-colored fillings, they are designed to blend with the natural tooth color and lend strength and support to a damaged tooth, preventing further injury. Unlike fillings, inlays are custom-made in a lab from resilient porcelain or composite material and then cemented to the tooth at our cosmetic dentistry office. They are made from the same durable materials as dental crowns and are significantly stronger than direct fillings. For this reason, they are often used on back teeth when at least half of the chewing surface needs to be replaced.
Once the tooth is prepared, an impression will be taken and sent to a lab so that the porcelain or composite inlay can be made to precisely fit the damaged tooth. In the meantime, a temporary inlay will be placed to protect the tooth and cover the cavity until the permanent inlay is ready. At a second appointment, the temporary inlay will be removed and the permanent one will be cemented in place.

Gum Treatment
Even the brightest and most beautiful teeth will not look their best for long if the gums that hold them in place are not healthy. Gingivitis, the earliest stage of gum disease, is characterized by gums that bleed easily and are slightly swollen or red, but are usually not painful or tender. If left untreated, gingivitis can progress to periodontitis, which can ultimately lead to tooth loss.
At our Bellevue, Washington office, we can treat gum disease and protect the health and appearance of your teeth. We use the least invasive techniques possible to remedy problems and promote healing. The simplest gum treatment is a non-surgical, deep cleaning process that involves removing all plaque and tartar from tooth surfaces above and below the gum line. If periodontal pockets, or separations of the gum tissue from the tooth, have formed, these are cleaned out as well. The success of a non-surgical treatment depends heavily on the patient, as good oral hygiene must be maintained at home for the gum tissue to heal.
If the damage has advanced to the point that gum tissue can not be repaired through non-surgical treatment, then periodontal surgery may be recommended.
