Could Lumineers be used to repair old crowns?

Posted under: Cosmetic Dentistry, Dentistry— Aalam Samsavar @ 10:56 pm

Lumineers are the trade name for a cosmetic dental procedure that has been around for a long time. This procedure is called prepless veneer. Despite the ads by Dentsply, the company behind Lumineers, these porcelain restorations are not indicated for every single cosmetic case. Seattle Cosmetic Dentist, Dr Samsavar has successfully used Feldspathic porcelain to enhance the smile of his patients. Lumineers are one specific kind of porcelain veneer. Felspathic porcelain has the ability to be bonded to other feldspathic porcelains. At our Seattle cosmetic Dental office we have been able to bond to the existing crowns and bridges and therefore as long as there are no preexsting decay they can be saved.
